決断
遂にJICAから、任国振替を希望するか、ジンバブエに戻る事を待つかという選択をしろとの指令がでました。
待つなら最大であと４ヶ月は待てます。
ただJICAが、ジンバブエから協力隊事業を完全に撤退すると決定したら、そこで終わりです。
答えは火曜日までにとのこと。
もう答えは出てたつもりですが、迷います。
日本ダービーの行われるこの週末に答えを出さねばなりません。
大変だ。
ジンバブエに戻りたいのも事実。
はやく活動をしたいのも事実。
どうしようかな。
結構僕の人生に於いて重要な決断になると思います。

第二の故郷
僕の第二の故郷はZImbabweのBinduraと言っても過言ではないです。
一年半、僕が過ごした場所です。
今日こんなニュースを発見しました。
「MDC activists arrested in Bindura」
野党の活動家がBinduraで逮捕されたそうです。おそらく不当に。
以前紹介した、This is Zimbabweっていうサイトに出ていました。
このサイトでは以下のような文章が掲載されていました。
Take action:
The deaths of the women and on-going persecution highlight how critical it is that we support those in trouble as soon as we can, when we can. Please be aware that human rights activists and those opposing Mugabe are frequently denied access to legal representation.
To that end, we have two numbers stored in our database for Bindura police, to call to support Zivai Chimombe, Adimere Mudavanhu, Farink Mudavanhu.

Please call the Police Station, and very politely inform the person that you speak to that you are aware these people have been arrested and that you will be watching their story closely.

Tell the policeman that you have every confidence that law and order in Zimbabwe can be maintained by good decent policeman, and that you hope the activists rights will be respected, that they will be treated with dignity, and that they will be granted access to legal representation as soon as it comes.
Let the person understand that if their rights are not respected, you will do all you can to ensure that your government, human rights organisations in your country, and your local press, are made aware that these three people are being unfairly treated in Bindura, Zimbabwe.
Please be polite at all times. If the person is listening to you, please take the chance to ask him to carry a message to the three activists, and to tell them that the world is watching and that they must stand strong.

民生最高。
今日何となく大学３回生の３か４月くらいにある人から頂いた手紙を読みました。
この手紙は僕の人生に於いて、今のところ最も重要な手紙です。
長らく封印していたのですが、今日ひょんな事から発見してしまい読むに至りました。
もう手に入れる事の出来ないものを想像するのはとても辛い事です。
またそれを思い出すのもとても辛い事です。
ただ、いろんな意味で初心にかえる事が出来たと思います。その手紙を読む事で。
ジンバブエの事についてもいつも以上にいろいろ考える結果になりました。
それはそれでよかったと思います。
